昨日、フランスのAlexandreさんに、荒波に立ち向かっている大関に
世界中からの応援メールを寄せてくれるよう、世界中の魁皇ファンに呼びかけてください、
と頼んだところ、以下にAlexandreさんが早速に呼びかけてくださって、数々のメールを頂きました。

"Dear Ozeki Kaio
In 1996, I watch for the first time Sumo on an european TV channel. So many great rikishis at this time like Takanohana, Wakanohana, Akebono, Musashimaru, Takanonami but I was impressed by a sekiwake named Kaio !
Since this year, I am a fan of you but I know that soon, I will watch sumo without my favourite rikishi and I can’t imagine that.
One year ago, I write you an English letter with pictures and I don’t know if you receive it. In this letter, I mention the French web site that Alexandre Pecking built about you and where I participate by sending some pictures from my personal archives.
Since, I was proud to meet in Lausanne (Switzerland) your friend Ozeki Musoyama (Fujishima Oyakata) and was proud to have an interview with him for a french sumo magazine (Le Monde du Sumo). He said many nice words about you and that he hope you will be Yokozuna someday.
With this little message from Switzerland, I would like to send you all my support and encouragement.
I hope that someday I could come in Japan to watch a Basho and support my favourite rikishi. Hope that It could be in 2006 or 2007 !
So, dear Ozeki Kaio, gambate !

大関魁皇へ
1996年、ヨーロッパのテレビで初めて相撲を見ました。
貴乃花、若乃花、曙、武蔵丸、貴ノ浪など多くの素晴らしい力士がいましたが、
私が印象づけられたのは、「魁皇」という名の、関脇でした。
そのときから、私は魁皇関のファンで、魁皇のいない相撲を見ることなど考えられないです。
1年前、写真を添えて英語で手紙をかきましたが、受け取られたでしょうか・・・ （その手紙の中に）Alexandre Peckingという人が大関についてサイトを立ち上げていることも書きましたが、
私は、そのサイトに私が持っている写真を送ったりしています。
そのころ、私は、魁皇関の親友の大関武双山（藤島親方）に会えることができ、
彼に「Le Monde du Sumo」というフランスの相撲雑誌のためにインタビューすることができたことを
誇りに思っています。（藤島親方は、）そのとき、魁皇関のことをとても評価していて、
魁皇関がいつか横綱になることを望んでいらした。
スイスからこのメッセージを通して、魁皇関に限りない応援と激励を送ります。
ある日日本に本場所を見に行きたい。そして、（実際に相撲を見ながら）
私のそのお気に入りの力士（魁皇関のこと）を応援したい。 できれば、2006年か2007年に。
だから、魁皇関、がんばって！
限りない躍進と活躍がありますように！
